Yesterday, on April 4th, the late actor, Heath Ledger would’ve turned 38. Ledger was a very talented actor taken away from us far too early. It was nothing less than a tragedy for Hollywood on January 22, 2008. From a teen heartthrob to a psychopathic clown terrorizing Gotham City, Ledger played all his characters earnestly and will forever remain a legend especially for his turn as the Joker.
For the past few years, SPIKE has been producing documentaries on the lives of extraordinary individuals as told by their inner-circles. Previously, documentaries were made on actor Chris Farley and John F. Kennedy Jr.
The documentary features footage taken by his own camera as well as clips from his movies and interviews with his friends, family including his sister, and other celebrities and artists including Ben Harper, Ben Mendelsohn, and Ang Lee. The film will explore Ledger’s years from 10 Things I Hate About You all the way to The Dark Knight.
