Just a few days back, the final trailer for Disney‘s live-action remake of Beauty And The Beast. One of the main highlights of the trailer was the new rendition of the theme song “Beauty And The Beast” by pop stars Ariana Grande and John Legend.
I for one definitely wanted to hear the full cover after listening to the snippet in the trailer. And my and many other people’s wish was granted. Well, kind of! Yesterday, the full audio version of the song was released on the internet and it was …… not bad. The version released online was definitely was a more pop’ styled than the one in the trailer which was closer to the original. The song in the original film was, of course, performed by veteran actress Angela Lansbury with a special cover performed by Celine Dion and Peabo Bryson.
The reception to the song has by far received mixed reception with some claiming that the studio has ahem …. “ruined” the song and with others growing a liking towards it. I do hope in the near future Disney released the instrumental version that was accompanied with the final trailer soon.
