The first full trailer for the upcoming Power Rangers movie. The film is based on the (no surprises here) very beloved Power Rangers franchise from the 90s which has had multiple seasons (23 seasons with 19 themes) over the past 2 decades.
After teasing us all these months multiple times with the marketing campaign we finally get to see all the Power Rangers goodies in one basket. Continuing with it’s more mature tone (compared to the original series), the trailer has a sense of fun to it just like a Power Rangers film should have. We get a look at the Rangers in action with their suits on and honestly, it looks great!
As aforementioned, we see a lot more elements from the classic lore. First, we get a good glimpse of Rita Repulsa played by Elizabeth Banks who’ll be causing all sorts of troubles for the Rangers. Bryan Cranston‘s Zordon is brought to life thanks to 3D block display, kinda like the liquid metal display in Man of Steel. Though not on screen for long, we get a good glimpse at Alpha 5, voiced by Bill Hader. Some time back we got to see the concept art for the character and let’s say he looks much better here than on paper. And last but not the least, we are teased with the final battle with the Megazord. What’s more nostalgic than that?
