A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, the Star Wars films were shot in exotic locations and giant studios. This art basically was lost with the prequels where most of the sweeping backgrounds were substituted by giant green screens. This changes with last years The Force Awakens and more so with this year’s Rogue One. In a new featurette released by Lucasfilm we get a good look at all the new exotic locations the film was shot at far off places like Jordan, Maldives and Iceland not only make for eye candy, but also help in grounding the experience of a gritty war film Rogue One boasts being.
This wasn’t the only featurette released this week however. K-2SO has now become everybody’s favourite droid. The sassy character is seen always at odds with leader Jyn. The featurette gives us a little more insight into the character played by Alan Tudyk through the magic of motion capture.
