Meet The Rogues Gallery In New ‘Lego Batman’ TV Spot

Warner Bros. have now upped the ante on the marketing of The Lego Batman Movie. The film is a spinoff from 2014′s extremely successful The Lego Movie. Will Arnett will reprise the role of Batman/ Bruce Wayne from the previous entry in the Lego franchise. Building off The Lego Movie the film attempts to answer “Can Batman be ever happy?”.

The studio has done a great job carrying on the humour and style of The Lego Movie. The trailer finally gives us a look at the Lego versions of majority of Batman’s rogues gallery including Bane, Catwoman, Scarecrow and even some ridiculous ones like the Condiment King. We also get to see some hilarious bits between Batman and Joker voiced by Zach Galifianakis.

Robot Chicken director Chris McKay helms the film based on a screenplay by Seth Grahame-Smith, Chris McKenna, and Erik Sommers.

The film marks the return of Will Arnett as The Caped Crusader along with Michael Cera as Batman’s sidekick Robin, Rosario Dawson as Batgirl/Barbara Gordon, Zach Galifianakis as The Joker, Ralph Fiennes as Alfred Pennyworth and Mariah Carey as the Mayor of Gotham.

The Lego Batman Movie opens in theaters on  February 10, 2017.

In the irreverent spirit of fun that made “The LEGO® Movie” a worldwide phenomenon, the self-described leading man of that ensemble – LEGO Batman – stars in his own big-screen adventure. But there are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if he wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.
