After a lot of anticipation, Marvel has released the trailer for SpiderMan: Homecoming. The film will be Spidey’s first solo outing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe after first showing up earlier in this year’s Captain America: Civil War.
Tom Holland was a genuine surprise in Civil War which was already packed with good performances. His Spiderman was a breath of fresh air after seeing really good performances by Andrew Garfield and Tobey Maguire, but it was time that an actual teenager played the teenage Peter Parker from the comics.
The story takes place after the events of Civil War this means no origin story that is no uncle Ben getting shot again (unless they pull a Batman v Superman like situation in the opening credits). The trailer starts out with a strong teen movie vibe which maybe a little odd but that’s what they were going for since the start. It then switches into full superhero mode once the villain is introduced. Micheal Keaton plays Vulture, the villain of the film. Marvel has a bad reputation when it comes to villains spare a few exceptions like Loki.
Also, they seem to have a lot more Tony Stark in the trailer then we thought he would be. Personally, I feel that his role will be more along the lines of an extended cameo (like Tom Cruise in Tropic Thunder) than a large supporting role.
Also note : This Spider-Man is very strong.
