We are in the month of December finally and have a lot of great films to look forward too. One of them is the highly anticipated Assassin’s Creed. The film is based on the highly successful Ubisoft video game series of the same name. Michael Fassbender stars as Callum Lynch, a man who learns that he us a descendant of a 15th century Spanish swordsman named Aguilar and is a part of a secret society called the Assassins.
Off late, we’ve got a really good look at the film in thanks to the clips and featurette that gets me more and more excited each time I watch one. Fox has released a clip for the film which consists of a visceral high speed action sequence in the middle of 15th century Spain. The scene is superbly choreographed, brilliantly shot and tightly edited. The rest of the film better live up to this sequence.
Fox also released a new featurette detailing the science behind the Animus seen in the previous clip:

The film is directed by Justin Kurzel and written by Bill Collage, Adam Cooper, and Michael Lesslie.
Reteaming with Kurzel are Fassbender, and Marion Cotillard from MacBeth (2015). Also starring are Jeremy Irons, Brendan Gleeson, and Michael K. Williams.
Assassin’s Creed hits theaters on December 21, 2016.
Here’s the official plot synopsis for the film:
