Assassin’s Creed will not be your typical run of the mill video game based action film. Indeed it is going ahead all out to create a legacy for itself. Much has been talked about over time about how the filmmakers want to make the final product “realistic”. Fassbender said that the film will be like The Matrix but without much of the CGI nonsense. And they’re making good of their promises!
Of late, the studio behind the Ubisoft adaptation has released a new behind the scenes video detailing a major sequence from the film. As the production designer Patrick Crowley explains, Fassbender’s character Callum Lynch, is stuck during a chase. The only way forward is downwards. Now usually the filmmakers prefer to use a digital double for such sequences, but as we know it won’t be the case here, we get to see a good ole fashioned jump.
Up for the task is professional stuntman Damien Walters who takes the “Leap of Faith” (cue the Inception music) from a staggering 125 feet!
