‘Allied’ Teaser Trailer: Brad Pitt And Marion Cotillard Lead WWII Spy Thriller

Paramount Pictures has released the first teaser trailer for their upcoming World War 2 spy thriller Allied. The film stars Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard in the lead roles as an intelligence offer and a French Resistance fighter. The two first meet in North Africa where they begin a relationship, but when they reunite in London, their affair is in trouble due to the ongoing war.

The film is directed by Robert Zemeckis who has delivered consistent hits over the years like Back To The Future trilogy, Forrest Gump, Contact, Cast Away, The Polar Express. In recent years the director has been more active as a producer however he returned to the chair with last year’s critically well received The Walk starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Coming back to the teaser trailer, I must say it does look gorgeous and the director and the two leads are more than enough reason to go and watch it when it finally hits the big screen.

Based on an original screenplay by Locke scribe Steven Knight, the film also stars Lizzy Caplan and Matthew Goode.

Allied opens in theaters on November 23, 2016.

Here’s the official plot synopsis:

ALLIED is the story of intelligence officer Max Vatan (Pitt), who in 1942 North Africa encounters French Resistance fighter Marianne Beausejour (Cotillard) on a deadly mission behind enemy lines. Reunited in London, their relationship is threatened by the extreme pressures of the war.
