After a lot of wait and anticipation we finally have it. The first trailer for Christopher Nolan‘s World War II epic Dunkirk has finally landed on the internet! The film is an action-thriller set during World War II and chronicles the Dunkirk evacuation which saw the evacuation of 338,000 Allied soldiers who were cut off and surrounded by German forces during the Battle of France.
The trailer begins with a depiction of what can only be described as a white wasteland akin to the land beyond the Wall in Game of Thrones. That is, until we witness that the white wasteland is actually a beach. And also, that a lone soul is walking toward it (Tom Hardy, dat you?). Smash Cut to a scene with a few dead bodies partially buried under the sand and all of this to the track that closely resembles a time bomb. The trailer then comes to a point where it shows a crowd of army hard hats typical to a certain global war fought in the previous century, second of its kind and that is Dunkirk for you. Boy, does Team Nolan know how to tease!
