King Kong will be returning back to the big screen after a long gap of 11 years. Last Saturday at the Warner Bros. Comic Con panel, we got the very first trailer for the film.
The film follows a group of researchers who visit an uncharted island for a scientific expedition. Amidst the beauty of nature, they find a hidden world, both beautiful and treacherous. And among the most dangerous things the island has to offer, stands a very familiar 100 foot giant ape.
The trailer (or extended teaser as I’d like to call it) spends a lot of time with the human characters while exploring the island. If you’re in just for the King, the trailer offers nothing more than a tease at the end. However, one should not be disappointed for it as this is just the first teaser.
And we should also be talking about the size of Kong. In case you didn’t know, there is going to be a King Kong vs Godzilla movie in a few years and the original size of the beast would be a very big disadvantage for it. This version of the gorilla clocks in at almost (or over) a 100 feet tall making it the largest iteration of the character ever put to screen.
