‘Fantastic Beasts’ Comic Con Trailer Finally Shows Off Magical Creatures

Warner Bros. on Saturday at their Comic Con Panel released a new trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. The film takes place in the Harry Potter universe, long before the series begins and follows Professor Newt Scamander played by Academy Award® Eddie Redmayne.

The Comic Con trailer finally gives us the first look at the magical beasts mentioned in the title. Unfortunately, a muggle gets his hands on Newt’s briefcase which holds these creatures and accidently sets them free. Now Newt and the magical society of America must contain these magical creatures before it is too late and the common folks learn the secret of wizards living among them.

The film is directed by David Yates and co-starring are Katherine Waterston, Dan FoglerAlison Sudol, Ezra MillerSamantha Morton, Oscar winner Jon VoightRon Perlman, Carmen Ejogo, Jenn Murray, young newcomer Faith Wood-Blagrove, and Colin Farrell.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
