Sausage Seth Rogen Leads War On Humans In ‘Sausage Party’ Red Band Trailer 2

Rated R movies are becoming a craze again. Last year’s Mad Max: Fury Road, hailed as one of the best action movies in years was rated R. The two Conjuring were rated R. This year’s Deadpool was the biggest example that your average superhero film need not be PG-13 to turn a huge profit (but then again, Deadpool ain’t your average superhero film).

Sony Pictures has released the second red band trailer for Sausage Party. The film tells the story of living food products who find for the first time venture out of the supermarket. But once they’re out, they find out that the outside world isn’t exactly well suited for their ahem… growth.

This new trailer justifies the adult nature of the film evermore than the teaser. There are much more adult oriented jokes, and a lots and lots of cuss words in this one and if it is your kind of humour, have a good time with the trailer below:

The film is directed by Greg Tiernan and Conrad Vernon (who also voice Rico in the Madagascar movies) based on a screenplay by Evan Goldberg, Kyle Hunter, Ariel Shaffir and Rogen.   

The film features the voices of Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Jonah Hill, Bill Hader, Michael Cera, James Franco, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, Paul Rudd, Nick Kroll, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton,and Salma Hayek.

Sausage Party opens in theaters on August 12, 2016

Sausage Party, the first R-rated CG animated movie, is about one sausage leading a group of supermarket products on a quest to discover the truth about their existence and what really happens when they become chosen to leave the grocery store.
