Ryan Gosling Sings His Heart Out In First ‘La La Land’ Teaser

Summit Entertainment has released the first teaser for the upcoming musical La La Land. The drama is set in modern day L.A. and is all about following your dreams.

The musical is lead by Ryan Gosling who stars as a jazz musician and Emma Stone as an aspiring actress who are both struggling in their respective careers. The trailer features an original song “City of Stars” sung by Gosling himself which runs throughout the teaser. Aiming for a “Best Original Song” Oscar right there huh? (The song can be purchased on iTunes). The trailer itself harkens back to the early musicals of Hollywood with a strong Fred Astaire vibe.

The film is directed and written by Damien Chazelle whose claim to fame was 2014’s amazing Whiplash which looks far different from La La Land.
