‘Morgan’ Trailer Tells You More About The Newest Addition To The List of Creepy Children

20th Century Fox has released the first official trailer for the upcoming sci-fi thriller Morgan. The film is based on the concept of man vs ‘artificial life’ seen again and again in movies like Terminator, The Matrix and even the most recent movies like Ex-Machina have used this idea in one form or another.

The new trailer gives us a lot of info on the titular character played by The Witch star Anya Taylor-Joy. Touted as the next step in evolution Morgan is a life form bio engineered using a synthetic DNA. Growing and learning at a rapid pace, Morgan also displays various powers like telekinesis.

But something has ticked it off. The being was involved in an incident which has the corporation behind these experiments sends Kate Mara to investigate and that’s when the horror begins.

The film is produced by Ridley Scott and directed by his son, newcomer Luke Scott. The film also stars Toby Jones, Rose Leslie, Boyd Holbrook, Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Jason Leigh, and Paul Giamatti.

Morgan opens in theaters on September 2, 2016.
