Unless you were living under a rock in the past few weeks you must have surely watched or at least heard about the widely successful horror sequel The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist. The film has received wide critical acclaim and is also enjoying a pretty good box-office run.
A few weeks back we had posted the B-Roll of the film. In the B-Roll we saw how certain scenes were filmed and the got a fell of atmosphere on the set which was not all that spooky. We now move into the next phase of film production which is post production.
Once the film is in post the major processes it has to go through are the effects, editing, and sound. Today we have a little something from the Visual Effects department.
Matt Painter and Concept Artist Didier Koening has uploaded the work he had done on The Conjuring 2. The artist has helped in various effects like compositing, shot design and digital matte painting. These techniques help create everything from the more gory details on the demonic nun (who is getting her own spinoff BTW), to the 80’s era also removing small details like security cameras from certain scenes.
Check out the VFX breakdown below:

Director James Wan returns to the franchise along with Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga reprising their role from the first film. Also starring are Franka Potente, Frances O’Connor, Sterling Jerins, Madison Wolfe, and Steve Coulter.
