Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children (2016) Film – Official Trailer

20th Century Fox has released the first trailer for Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. The film is based on the novel of the same name by Ransom Riggs.

The film follows Jacob Portman who goes to Wales to learn more about his grandfather’s life after his murder. He finds that his grandfather lived in a derelict orphanage for “peculiar children” where he learns that he too is “peculiar”. So in short, one can say that it is like the X-Men set in the 40’s. The film looks gorgeous overall and promising and stylistically, the material is right up director Burton’s alley.

The film is directed by Tim Burton and stars Eva Green, Samuel L. Jackson, Asa Butterfield, Ella Purnell, Kim Dickens, Judi Dench, Allison Janney,Rupert Everett , and Terence Stamp.  

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children opens in theaters on September 30, 2016.
